Fun with the Walker

When Ethan was 4 months old, Mund's aunt said that it's time to put him in the walker. I think that it's too early. So, I asked the doctor's opinion whether or not is it appropriate to do so. Doc said that it's not recommendable to even use a walker nowadays. I knew that, cause I've hit the books and it is written so too. Better alternatives would be a stationary walker, not those mobile types that are popular in Malaysia. But, Mund's friend already gave us a mobile one.

Yesterday, I asked Mund to get the walker out and give it a try. I could see that Ethan is very bored with daily activities. He no longer likes to sleep on his back in his crib and look at the musical toys, or sit at his rocker and be satisfied. So we put on his shoes (gift from Ms. Bibiana), put him in the walker, and toss in some toy there as well. He then proceed to play around with those toys although most of it end up on the floor. He'll only move when he's excited, normally happens when we talk to him, and he only knows how to go backwards. Even when all his toys are on the ground, he's contend just sitting there by himself. It's great, at least I don't have to carry him around all the time.
